An agreement between the Council for Professional Qualifications in the Financial Market (CPQFM) and the Council for Professional Qualifications in Nanoindustry was signed at the Russian Business Week February 5.
Expert discussion “National Champions Project: 2017 Outcomes and New Challenges” moderated by State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Oleg Fomichev, was held January 18, 2018 at the Gaydar Forum.
Ministry of Economic Development has been implementing “National Champions” priority project since June 2016. 30 leading companies were shortlisted at the first phase of the project implementation. 32 new companies were added in 2017.
Like the previous year, the companies to participate in the project were selected from the TechSuccess national ratings of fast-growing hi-tech companies organized by RVC with expert support from National Research University – Higher School of Economics.
With RNA support, three member-companies of the Association – Nanolek LLC, On-board Aeronautical Systems OJSC, Nanotech Composite Center LLC – were included in the “Support to Private Hi-Tech Leader Companies” (“National Champions”) priority development project of the Ministry of Economic Development in 2017.
Nanolek LLC is a Russian bio-pharmaceutical company with RUSNANO participation, specializing in import substitution and production of innovative pharmaceuticals – developed in-house or together with international partners – with an emphasis on preventing and treating socially significant diseases.
On-board Aeronautical Systems OJSC (OBAS LLC) develops comprehensive integrated solutions, equipment and systems for safe and efficient airspace usage at all phases of flight – “from tarmac to tarmac”. The products are based on Air Traffic Control (ATC), communication, navigation, communication and navigation systems/airtrafifc management (CNS/ATM), ground and on-board radiolocation systems solutions, and meteorological support solutions for civil and private aviation.
Nanotechnology Composite Center LLC (NCC-Composite LLC) specializes in the production of rigging units and products made of composite polymer materials for various industries: energy, construction, ship-building, car manufacturing, telecommunications, etc. The company also provides full range of engineering services, including technology development, conducting design works, calculation and modelling, prototyping, testing, small-scale production, equipment vendor selection and subsequent technology implementation at industrial enterprises.
The new project participants award ceremony was conducted as part of the discussion. State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Oleg Fomichev presented congratulatory letters from the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin.
The outcomes of the work conducted with the first 30 companies participating in the project were also summarized.
During 2017, they received personal information and consultation support, assistance in interaction with the government and development institutions, state companies, promotion in the foreign markets through Russia’s Trade Missions abroad. They were also consulted on the development of mid-term growth strategies and supported in overcoming administrative barriers.
This work will continue in 2018, with all 62 “national champions”.

Winners of the Sixth National Ratings of Russian Fast-Moving Hi-Tech Companies “TechSuccess-2017” organized by Russian Venture Company were announced December 12, 2017. According to the announcement, three member companies of the Association entered the “TechSuccess-2017” ratings.
The Sixth Congress of Nanotech Industry Enterprises was held at the Russia Today Press Center MIA on December 7, 2017. The event attracted more than 500 representatives of Russian and foreign nanoindustry.
